Casi ínsula, el más occidental de los estados de la República Mexicana supone un universo donde la naturaleza y sus endemismos son los protagonistas. En esta tierra aparte, cobijada por el Mar de Cortés y el Océano Pacífico, el tiempo geológico ha ido dejando huellas de su paso. Fósiles, rastros de dinosaurios, conos volcánicos y montañas emergidas del suelo marítimo aparecen para contarnos el pasado remoto. Mientras en las orillas de la península hay agua salada salpicada de islas, el centro es toda sierra y desierto. La presencia de distintos grupos étnicos y la llegada de los misioneros españoles hace siglos enriquecieron sus paisajes, su destino.

Acompáñanos, disfruta su comida, sus cervezas, su ambiente; después descubre el silencio que hay en el Cañón de Guadalupe, la Laguna Salada o las dunas en el camino a Algodones.

Recorre la Costa del Golfo de California, experimenta los días que viven los pescadores en San Felipe, nada, bucea, duerme bajo las estrellas de la Bahía de San Luis Gonzaga o ve al encuentro del tiburón ballena entre las infinitas islas de Bahía de los Ángeles.

Atraviesa el Desierto de Cataviña, camina entre cardones y cirios, asómate a las pinturas rupestres escondidas. Luego busca el Pacífico, sus playas. Espera el atardecer en Bahía de San Quintín, llega en Kayak hasta la Bufadora o pasea por el malecón de Ensenada, después prueba la famosa Langosta estilo Puerto Nuevo que habrás de entregar en Playas de Rosarito.

Hagas lo que hagas, no te vayas nunca sin llevarte un momento contigo en los valles cubiertos de vides y olivos que pueblan la Ruta del Vino. Ven a reinventarte a esta tierra, a sus mares, desiertos y viñedos. Ven ¡y descubre Baja California!
